Nahezu 30 Jahre - von 1974 bis 2003 war das Peter Rüchel Redakteur der Musiksendung Rockpalast des WDR. Er hatte ihn gemeinsam mit Christian Wagner erfunden.
Peter Rüchel ist am 20. Februar 2019 im Alter von 81 Jahren im Kreise seiner Familie gestorben. Ohne Ihn und seine Hilfe hätte es das Rockpalast Archiv auch nicht gegeben, ein Mentor, ein Freund.

Ihm zu Ehren habe ich eine 2 stündige Radiosendung zusammen gestellt, mit Highlights aus dem Rockpalast die auch Peter gefallen hätten oder einen Bezug zu ihm hatten.
Einige Erinnerungen und Anekdoten haben die Sendung abgerundet.
